So...About 3 weeks ago, I was talking to Brittney on Facebook letting her know that i'd let her know when I knew when the Holiday Party was.  Well, last week, I found out, and sent her this message as she had just logged off as I went to send her an IM.   Bit of warning (as you people know), I tend to rant in things...

Message Title: Holiday party date...  (Let's make a date of it...  )
Message: I was going to send this to you via Facebook IM, but both times you went offline as soon as I hit send...

Anywho, I just found out today (Before they even finished the fliers for it. :p) that December 20th is when the holiday party is...Don't know if we have to RSVP or not yet, but i'm fairly certain we will...So, that being said, care to be my date to it?

And something completely unrelated to said holiday party, but thanks to Shawn has been sorta sticking in the back of my mind and not going away...were you in town last weekend? Or was Shawn just tryng to mess with me by saying you were? I'm mainly asking cause I was coming back from lunch last Friday, and he asked me what your last name was...Which I found was an odd question to ask as a first question as he hasn't seen me for a week-ish, then he mentioned he JUST saw you in the store. A quick search of the store for you turned up nothing, though...

But that made me wonder if you were looking for me...Which would've made me also wonder why you didn't go down to Tool Rental to ask if I was working that day as Bekah was there and could've told you that I was on lunch.

In other work related news, if you do come back to work, you're no longer working for Trish...You'll be working for Kim thanks to the new arrangements.

Enrique got moved to packdown DH, Trish took Enrique's spot in Recieving, Kim took Trish's spot in Garden, and Fallon took Kim's spot as the DH for paint (Which no one was thrilled about how that was rumored to have happened...)

So anywho...If you do want to go with me to the party (considering as how they cancelled it on us 2-3 times last year), then great. If you want to wait until Thanksgiving weekend to tell me (Like last year) i'll be opening the day before Thanksgiving and closing Black Friday...And it'll be fairly easy to find me at the store this year on that day.

And remember...It's okay to cry!

So...A week passed, and I heard no respons, either via the message system, or IM (yet she was on several times, as things on her profile were added and what-not)...Well, she hopped online yesterday, but logged off before I could ask about the message....So, today, she logged on again, and here's the convo that took place...

So...Judging by the first part of the convo, it sounds as though if she doesn't go to a relatives' house, she'll go with me to the party as my date.  So...  *Crosses fingers*

Edit: Something also of note that I just noticed...She never said "don't call it a date"  So i'm ever the more hopeful.

I know....As I told Billy and Chip yesterday, if she can't go, oh well.  Wouldn't be the first time.

Chippy was saying "I don't wanna see posts saying 'What did I do wrong!?' when she shows up."  Which made me ask, why would I say that when it's something she can't really get out of?

Good news, though!  I sent Brittney an e-mail the other day asking if she'll be free at all for Spring Break when she comes back home, and if she wanted to do anything with me (like a dinner and a movie).  Well, I just talked to her, and she said she'll be house sitting...BUT she said should be able to get away one day for a movie!  Unfortunatly, she's not sure when her Spring Break starts, but she said she'll find out and let me know.  Let's just hope my "vacation time plan" was right.

*Sighs*  Well, we've been kinda e-mailing each other back and forth throughout the day, and she sent me one to start out saying "I'm starting to see that you really like like me..." and it went into the her saying that she doesnt' like me as anything more than a friend.  Aparently, my showing interest in her also creeped her out...Which didn't help at all and i've already apologized for that...Hopefully she doesn't respond with "Stop trying to change my mind" or something...

So yeah...i'm obviously not in the best of moods, now...But oh well, i'll get over it eventually...

..I know...I gave up the day she said that...Again, I wasn't in the best of moods that day (or Saturday, for that matter, when Bekah called to say she couldn't hang out Sunday night due to problems her and her husband were having at home...But we talked about it, some...And that kinda helped a bit...)

But i'm over it, now...Spending the last three days hanging out with friends helped quite a bit, actually.

Why must my mind and possible overanylizing of the simplist of things (Probably mixed with the caffine of the soda, too) keep me up?

To explain above comment...I was on Facebook REAL early this morning (like...3-4 AM...) and, for the hell of it, thought i'd look through my high school's list of people who graduated the same year I did.  Well, trolling through the list, I found two profiles for the same person.  Last I looked through the list, I only saw one for an old female friend of mine named Megan (who I happened to have a HUGE crush on towards the end of High School), and sent that one a friend request.

Quick note before I continue:  We were friends for almost the entire time we were both in High School.  But the most hanging out we ever did was pretty much all done at school, so we'd talk almost daily as we almost always pulled the same art class. 

Also, I did have her as a friend on MySpace (also had her AIM and e-mail at one point) almost directly out High School and we talked a bit through there, but not all that often, then her profile and what-not kinda disappeared without any explaonation.

Anywho, a year later, and no response from the Facebook profile, so I figured "Eh, screw it..." and went on with other stuff.  Well, when I looked through the list this morning, there was a second one for her, that had activity from 2 hours priror.  So I sent that profile a friend request.  Within 5 minutes, I got a "Megan has accepted your friend request!"

So, there were a few jokes we had back in high school, couldn't remember any of them to save my life (with the exception of saying her name in tune with the Super Mario World "underworld" theme...  )  So, I sent her the simple message of: "Hey!  Haven't talked to you in forever!"

Well, here's the response I got:
Megan Porter - I know it's crazy! How you been..what have you been up to? I'm actually going to bed so I can get some sleep, but feel free to tell me all about what's been going on! I'm glad you found me on facebook :-)

Yeah...Guess which line my over anylizing mind went to...I just gave her a quick update and asked how she's been, but that last line has got me thinking "What's that supposed to mean?" Probably nothing important, but as far as i'm aware, she did like me in High School...

just relax, dude. You are right in that you over-analyze quite a bit. Phrases like her last are just niceties on facebook. Just take a deep breath, put on your lap belt, and enjoy the ride instead of thinking about how and why the ride works.

Yeah...I haven't dwelled too much on it...I did, however, ask if she'd be interested in getting together at some point for dinner and a movie.  If she doesn't want to, eh...I'm kinda used to rejections, now... 

And...She just wants to be friends, but she's totally up for hanging out...And eh...I'm cool with that...Other girls have said "Let's be friends...But we're never hanging out..."  So yeah...
